Nell J. Barna
Nell J. Wood Barna, 75, of Waynesburg, PA, died at 10:30 PM Thursday, March 23, 2017, at home.
She was born Saturday, November 22, 1941 in Enterprise,AL. A daughter of the late Homer Lee Wood and Liddie Janie Montgomery Wood.
Mrs. Barna was a member of the Oakview United Methodist Church in Waynesburg, Social Service League, and the Jefferson Bowling League. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend.
Mrs. Barna enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoyed playing cards, games and loved getting her hair done. She especially enjoyed her Friday afternoon shopping trips, and sitting on her porch swing talking. She was dedicated to her home and family especially her granddaughter Morgan. She will be forever loved and missed.
She is survived by her Husband: Thomas D. Barna, whom she married on August 25, 1967.
Also surviving are 2 Daughters: Janet (Eric) Boardman, of Shillington, PA., and Heather Michelle (Claude) Barnes, of Waynesburg, PA., 1 GrandDaughter: Morgan Victoria Barnes,
3 Sisters: Mabel Stokes,of San Antonio, TX., Margie Thomasson, of Ocoee, FL., and Carolyn Hall, of Pine Hills, FL., 3 Brothers:
Robert Wood, of Gotha, FL.,James Wood, of Erin, TN., and Ray Wood, of Plant City, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is 1 Sister: Betty Galloway
Friends will be received from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM the time of the service on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in the Milliken and Throckmorton FH, Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director,197 N. Maiden St Waynesburg, PA 15370 with Rev. Susan Hoover officiating. Burial will be private. The family ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Oakview United Methodist Church 160 Rolling Meadows Road,Waynesburg, PA. 15370.
