                                                              A Woman Who Was Rich in the Compassion of Christ
                                                              Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Teacher, Friend
            Lois Headlee, 84 of Waynesburg went to be with her Lord and Savior at 5:58 PM on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born August 21, 1932 in Oak Forest, PA.  A daughter of the late Paul C. Stewart and Ruth Rogers Stewart.  Lois was a lifetime resident of Greene County, and dedicated her life to helping everyone around her. After graduating from West Greene High School, formerly known as Center Township High School, she held many career titles. She worked as a switchboard operator for South Penn Telephone, as a secretary for the Dean at Waynesburg College, and as a librarian assistant at the historic Bowlby Library in Waynesburg.
            Lois devoted her time to volunteering with many organizations including the Greene County Genealogical Society, the Waynesburg Elementary School as a volunteer reader, and the First Assembly of God in Waynesburg as a Sunday School teacher and secretary. She was a lifetime member of the Assembly of God in Waynesburg and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
           She will be remembered for her compassionate heart; she was the kind of woman who not only took care of her own family, but also took the time to visit and cheer up people in nursing homes. She was happiest when her family was together at the table; she found special joy at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
           Surviving is her loving husband of 63 years Carl D. Headlee, whom she married on October 17, 1954., 2 Sons, Dale Headlee and his wife, Brenda of Washington,PA; and Melvin Headlee, and his wife, Tammy of Waynesburg, PA. 4 Grandchildren: Ryan Headlee and his wife, Liz; Kayla Nitterright and her husband, Kyle; Kyle Headlee and his wife, Faith; and Kari Headlee, 1 Brother, Dennis Stewart and his wife, Marie of Springfield,VA; 2 Sisters, Marilyn Joyce Krible of Finleyville,PA,; and Janet Stewart of Waynesburg, PA. and several Nieces and Nephews.Those family members passing before her include her brother, Roger Stewart; her brother-in-law, Tom Krible; and her grandson, Brian Headlee. Lois Headlee touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed.
 Friends will be received from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM  and 6:00 PM  to 8:00 PM on Sunday, July 9, 2017 in the Milliken and Throckmorton FH, Inc. Daryl L.Throckmorton Owner/Director,197 N. Maiden St Waynesburg, PA 15370. There will be additional visitation at the First Assembly of God Church in Waynesburg from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM the time of the service on Monday, July 10, 2017 with Pastor Jim Galbraith and Pastor Michael Hampton officiating.  Burial will be in the Fairview-Kiger Cemetery ,Whiteley Twp., Greene Co., PA. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in her honor to First Assembly of God Church, Mission Department, 4131 West Roy Furman Hwy., Waynesburg, PA. 15370. Friends will be received at the Waynesburg Funeral Home on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There will be additional visitation on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM the time of the service at the First Assembly of God Church 4131 West Roy Furman Hwy Waynesburg, PA. 15370 with Pastor Jim Galbraith and Pastor Michael Hampton officiating. Burial will be at the Fairview-Kiger Cemetery, Whiteley Twp., Greene Co., PA.

Dale and Merv and families - So sorry to hear about your mom. Such a lovely person. Always kind to me, honest and truthful and always, always finding a way to talk about how much she loved and trusted God. I will be in prayer for all of you.
