To all the O'Connell kids: I have fond memories of seeing your Mom on our visits to 'Hillandale' on Ross Street for those summer (Rain Day) family reunions. And I recall there was always something good cooking in your mother's oven. I'm sorry for your family's loss, and I send all of you my condolences on your mother's passing.

Heartfelt condolence to you and family on death of your Mom, Anna Catherine ( what a wonderful name!!)

Take comfort in that you were a devoted and loving daughter, giving of your time and talent during the final months, weeks and days. Despite the stresses that come with caring for an elderly parent, I remember your smiling Irish face, delighted that you would be visiting Mom on Thursdays! Again, be comforted that you were a devote daughter.

As your Thursdays forward will have a hole in them, Anne Catherine is probably saying to the Irish Ladies in Heaven: "That quilt she is now making will be used by a grateful stranger."

May your Thursdays find joy in the near and far future.
